FAQ
When are you open?
Our website is open 24/7 however, we are available Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm to answer any queries, offer guidance etc. Either email us using hello@woofthedogshop.co.uk or call, text or whatsapp us on 07359154877
Our emails and WhatsApp is still monitored outside of these hours and where possible we will do our best to respond.
You can shop with us in person at the Northern Star Artisan Market on the first Saturday of each month, at the Oakwood Clock, Leeds. The market usually runs from 10am - 3pm
I need a new harness can you help?
Yes of course. We offer free harness fitting for all of our harnesses. Have a look at our Happy Harness Scheme page for all the details.
If you have a reactive dog that needs fitting, we can work with you in two different ways. If your dog can tolerate us in your home, we will bring our collection of harnesses and talk you through how to fit the harness and check that it is comfortable.
If your dog is unable to tolerate new people in your home we can work with you to choose the correct size harness (based on measurements and weight) for purchase. Once your harness has been delivered we can jump on a video call and we can remotely walk you through the fitting and adjustments to ensure a comfortable fit.
How can I shop with you?
Firstly our website is the best place to go.
If you want to browse in person then we will be at the Northern Star Artisan Market on the first Saturday of every month. The market is located at Oakwood Clock and runs from 10am - 3pm.
Not sure what you need? Then we have a business whatsapp on 07359154877 - feel free to message us for advice, if you have a question or anything else.
What food brands do you stock?
We have our own (Woof) brand of dry dog food which is extremely popular. Also, we have a range of functional diets that are hypoallergenic, hydrolysed and suited to dogs with allergies, skin & coat issues, gastrointestinal problems and weight management and joint control. As well as offering recipes for healthy living and dental.
We have recently launched an 80/20 range called Wilderness which is the closest you can get to a raw diet but in dry form.
Also, we stock our own wet food lines. These recipes were specifically chosen to compliment our dry dog food.
What treat brands do you stock?
Firstly, we have our own ranges of treats and provide as much variety as possible.
We prefer to stock well loved brands like Green & Wilds who are known for their single source proteins, Anco, Nova, Soopa, Life of Riley Bakery, Carnilove & Tribal. As well as brands such as Pawfect that offer treats with a function such as aids digestion, joint care etc.
We are phasing out brands that no longer align with our ethos and those who have changed their business model or recipes. We are always searching for new and interesting brands that meet the needs of our customers and would love to hear about your favourites.
Why should we shop with you when I can buy similar products in the supermarket etc?
We know that many supermarkets and discount retailers (such as home bargains & B&M) have added natural treats to their lines. As a customer, it's great that you have lots of choice available at differing price points.
However, we prefer to work closely with suppliers who predominantly work with independent retailers like ourselves. These suppliers are family owned businesses, who pride themselves on product quality and ethical trading. Yes, we do work with some suppliers who sit outside of this remit in order to bring you more choice however, those are limited and the selection of brands are assessed to ensure they meet our high standards.
We try our best to limit our impact on the environment by bulk buying items for delivery. We schedule our local delivery routes to maximise our travel and where possible we deliver on foot where we can.
Although we have a national presence, we are still a small, independent Leeds / Yorkshire based family run business. When you shop with us, you truly are helping a local business to achieve great things.
Your support is building a future for our son. Every purchase contributes to building a strong and agile business that he can one day take over and run.
Why don't you stock any toys, bowls etc?
Prior to the move to online, we analysed our top selling products and the reasons behind each purchase. We wanted to ensure that we stocked products that were popular, that our customers wanted / needed.
We still have some items available and we may bring these to our markets to sell at a discounted rate.
Similarly, we may add some seasonal items to our website and offer gifts and themed treats particularly around xmas time.
Will you still run Santa Paws?
We are hoping that Santa Paws will put in an appearance at Xmas but that depends on many factors. Keep an eye on our social media for updates closer to the time.
